Cinema production and distribution

Sogecine is the movie producer of the Sogecable Group. In its twenty years of life, it has produced around one hundred or so titles, among which we may find great Spanish movie successes, such as The Others, The Great Adventure of Mortadelo and Filemón or Out to Sea, Oscar to the Best Movie in a Non-English Language in 2004. The Group's movies area is completed by the Sogepaq distributor.

With its long experience in Spanish movies' production, Sogecine has accumulated a catalogue that consists of around about one hundred titles signed by great Spanish movie authors, such as Alejandro Amenábar, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Iciar Bollain, Álex de la Iglesia, Julio Médem, Fernando León de Aranoa, Javier Fesser, Mateo Gil, Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, José Luis Cuerda, Vicente Aranda or Fernando Colomo, among others. It has co-produced movies with more than thirty national producer companies and its titles are broadcast on television all over the world. Sogecine is ever-present in the main international festivals, and has known how to introduce its movies in traditionally difficult markets, as are those of the United States and Japan.

Sogepaq is focused on the acquisition, management and marketing of audiovisual rights for the movie theatres, videos, international distribution and television. With its own catalogue of over four hundred titles, it distributes more than 270 Spanish movies abroad. Furthermore, it commercialises a wide catalogue of about 90 titles on DVD support through 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
