Commitment to our employees

We are aware of the fact that we need to count on the best team of professionals in order to maintain our innovation and leadership position in the audiovisual communications' sector.

It is thus why we established a Management System that not only integrates our organisation's internal interests, but also the demands and needs of all of our groups of interest insofar as Human Resources. The Human Resources' Management defines the following performance lines for its management processes:

  • Management of the organisational models and spaces, basic profiles, dimensioning and management information.
  • Management of relations: working relationships, communication and services to the employees.
  • Management of the professionals: selection, evaluation, training, development, compensation, motivation and retention.

Basing ourselves on this Model, we thus establish our human resources' policies, focused on the full integration of the key values that govern our company at all levels of our organisation, and which are the following:

  • Confidence, because we encourage autonomy, communication and responsibility.
  • Commitment, because we get involved in creating solid and long-lasting links with those whom we are related to.
  • Criteria, because we put ourselves in our clients shoes and always look for the best solution to his problems.

EMPLOYABILITY AND TEACHING ACTIVITY


We encourage equality in the treatment among our professionals, rejecting any kind of discrimination as a consequence of genders, ideology, belief or condition in our Group, both in our selection and promotional processes, as well as in the daily management of our personnel.

This policy of respect, equality and encouragement of excellent working conditions in our company, along with our professionalism in the performance of our tasks, has led the Know How Foundation to distinguish us as one of the fifty most highly valued and attractive companies for the professional development, according to surveys that were carried out among university students of our country.

In order to capture the best and most qualified professionals, we have increased our collaboration with the most prestigious teaching and academic institutions of our country and which attract the professionals of the audiovisual world.


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT


Being aware of the fact that the way of fulfilling our objectives and goals is by counting on the best and most prepared professionals, we are carrying out training policies aimed at boosting and adding value to the qualities and skills of all of our employees for the efficient performance of their tasks.

With this objective, and as a first step, we are starting out from a prior analysis of the training needs of each of our employees. Once their demands have been established and evaluated, we will elaborate our annual Training Plan, basing ourselves on the selected criteria, and with all of our employees' general consent, betting on a strategy of Human Resources based on the principles of integrity, autonomy and the conveyance of corporative values and cultures.

On the other hand, we are still carrying out periodic competence and objective evaluations mainly addressed at managerial positions, which enable us to align the individual behaviours with the Group's global strategy, and allow us to evaluate each professional's contribution and performance at work. At the moment, we are working on making these evaluations reach all of our employees.


INTERNAL COMMUNICATION


We think that the best way of conveying our viewers credibility, plurality and participation is by means of certain mechanisms that encourage those principles in our own organisation.

Like this, we are firmly betting on open internal communication policies that allow us to attend to the requests and worries that our professionals set forth. As a main mechanism, the Personal Channel is worthy of mention, a telematic resource at all our employees' reach for exchanging information and proposals at all of the organisation's levels. Such Channel may be accessed by means of the Intranet or the so-called computer kiosks, located in the central area of Sogecable's facilities and which allow those employees who do not have computer equipment for their jobs, a direct connection and access.

Additionally, our companies have other internal communication channels, such as suggestion boxes, internal meetings of the staff and electronic mail addresses that all of the Group's employees have access to. Likewise, we inform all of our employees of any change in the organisation that may affect their activity, abiding to what is established in our Collective Agreement.


WORKING HEALTH AND SAFETY


One of our Group's priorities is that of offering all of our professionals a safe working environment, thus developing active policies of preventive medicine and carrying out individualised follow-ups in order to improve our staff's recovery processes.

In order to do so, we count on a Prevention Service that belongs to PRISA, thus offering coverage to all of the Group's companies. Likewise, we have a Health and Safety Committee made up of eight employees, who represent all of our staff.

Being aware of the importance of the Prevention of Working Risks, we have boosted different activities aimed at minimising risks associated with our activity and guaranteeing the compliance of any legal obligations.

Thus, having consolidated the specialities of Health and Safety, Ergonomics and Hygiene, we have aimed all of our efforts at evaluating the psychosocial risks in the different work places, counting on the collaboration of the Prevention Representatives to do so.

Additionally, and so as to reinforce such activities, we have carried out training programs to help in detecting and controlling any possible psychosocial risk situations, elaborating protocols for the treatment and solution of such risks, paying special attention to the prevention and minimisation of any kind of moral harassment.

The activities that were developed by our Prevention Service aimed at improving the working conditions in the recording studios, carrying out thorough revisions of the sets in order to guarantee our professionals' and stage audience's safety are worthy of mention.

Likewise, we have persevered with the coordination and supervision tasks, with staff from our Prevention Service, in events sponsored by our companies.

Thus, we comply with all of the laws insofar as the application of security and health measures, not having ever received any sanction or complaint with regard to the latter in the last years.
